Kieran McKenna and Wales head coach have been connected with the Scottish champions vacancy
The Championship club's their manager declares he has had "no conversations" with Celtic about their coaching position, while Wales national team manager the former striker is dedicated to completing his squad's World Cup campaign.
Each are being considered with the coaching position at the Premiership title holders following Brendan Rodgers' resignation on the start of the week.
McKenna's Position on Celtic
The Ipswich boss referred to the Glasgow giants as "a really big soccer institution" but emphasized he is "in the middle" of a "extensive rebuilding" with the Championship side.
The mid-thirties took charge of Portman Road in 2021 and led them to the Premier League with back-to-back promotions, but they won just a handful of victories last season as they were relegated back to the Championship and they presently occupy twelfth place in England's second tier.
"I have not had such conversations," the English capital native former Irish youth international said when questioned about being on the candidate list.
"This isn't a matter I have given any thought to, or where any part of my focus is currently.
"I have a special job here at a special team. And we're at a crucial stage of the season. Anything external hasn't touched my awareness."
Context and Contractual Aspects
It has been suggested that the manager would be willing to talk to the Scottish side given his boyhood allegiances.
"Growing up, we all have our preferences," he said when asked about those. "I don't think all people has to go around and declare what they were, but of course it's a massive football club."
The coach agreed to a new four-year contract in 2024 and was asked about his reported £5m release clause.
"In every manager's contract, there are provisions," he replied. "I'm unaware what my specific terms are and, if I did, I wouldn't tell you regardless!
"I tackle this role like I will remain Town's coach indefinitely. I understand that's not always going to be the situation, but I will consistently do my best as long as I am here."
The Welsh Coach's Position
Bellamy played for Celtic on temporary transfer from Newcastle United in the mid-2000s, but the former Wales striker is minded to finish the current global tournament campaign, a stance that would practically eliminate the mid-forties from assuming the Celtic job.
The Welsh squad are currently third in their World Cup group behind group toppers the Red Devils and runners-up North Macedonia.
Wins over the minnows and their rivals in November would book their position in the final qualifying round, but they are all but assured of reaching that stage, due to a successful European competition campaign, even if they not finish as their group second place.
Given his present stance, Bellamy, whose agreement concludes after the European Championship, would not be available until following the qualifying matches at the earliest.
