The return of Super Forms in Pokémon Legends: Z-A has ignited immense excitement within the community. Starting with the one-by-one unveiling of newcomers ahead of the title's launch, to players developing strong opinions on the full roster of new Megas, there's plenty for enthusiasts to anticipate.

Given many of the Super Forms showcasing distinctive designs that emphasize their personalities, one thought came to mind: How can link this with astrology? The following is inspired by a mix of intuition, common zodiac traits, and individual observations.

Aries – Super Camerupt

Honestly, Houndour's evolution was nearly chosen for this fire sign, as both are the Super Form and zodiac symbol that evoke the greatest apprehension. But, a Super Houndoom comes across as constantly angry, which isn't typical of the Aries vibe, renowned for being playful, light-hearted, and spontaneous. That's why the Ram far more akin to Super Camerupt, which solely spews lava when provoked. Remain on the good side of either and enjoy a powerful partner; if you cross them, be ready to get burned.

The Bull – Super Heracross

Much like a loyal Bull, the reliable Heracross, both in its standard and Mega form, has assisted numerous players in Legends: Z-A. While dependable, both the Pokémon and a Bull are also Fighting types, and – whether it's their companion or a strong opinion – will stand up for their position unwaveringly. What about Mega Heracross that reminds me most of my Taurus friends, however, is its unabashed love of snacks. Many previous official descriptions note their craving for tasty sap and how it uses its appendage to hoard it everything, which is pure Taurus energy.

The Twins – Mega Medicham

Observe this absolute queen. It's impossible to tell me this creature is not the life of every party, providing an endless stream of chatter to anyone who wants to hear. Just like an enrapturing, sociable Gemini, it's very simple to envision Mega Medicham mesmerizing an whole Wild Zone with their stories. This Pokémon's Pokédex entry also states its ability to foresee an opponent's next moves, which sounds quite like a people-smart Gemini.

Cancer – Super Manectric

Cancer is widely considered as the most emotional sign of the zodiac, a passionate sign known for often becoming wrapped up in their feelings. Besides the fact that it would be far too on the nose, The Lion is clearly Mega Starmie, the diva whose gams just went viral for being extremely glamorous (or horrifying, based on your taste). Fans were captivated from the violet starfish, and that’s exactly the same energy a Lion offers to the table. Starmie is also said to be broadcasting signals from its red core out into space, and it’s just like a Lion to be putting on a performance, even if for aliens.

Virgo – Super Victreebel

The always-ready and constantly-worried Virgo is perfectly represented in Super Victreebel, the Super Form with constant acid reflux. The sign known for being endearingly judgmental is strongly reflected across this creature's whole lineage, from a perpetually surprised expression like a Maiden when you inform them you don’t have a retirement plan, to its inverted face that’s just like the emoji a Maiden posts to the group chat when all says they want to “go with the flow” instead of making a plan.

Libra – Super Audino

Look at this sweet, empathetic creature, who employs the feelers on its auditory organs to tell how others are feeling by their heartbeat. Always empathetic – sometimes to a detriment – and trying to keep the peace, there are numerous Scales who would probably appreciate Super Audino's abilities. Though, let’s be honest, it would likely just cause them to worry more about everyone else.

The Scorpion – Mega Banette

Banette is a Pokémon with a surprisingly sad backstory: Abandoned as a doll, it became consciousness through pure hatred and swore retribution on its former owner. Per the official info, Mega Evolution, “enhances its spitefulness.” That sounds exactly like many conversations I’ve had with my intense Scorpion acquaintances. A Scorpio loves karma and retribution, making them the perfect pair with Mega Banette.

Sagittarius – Super Hawlucha

Both Mega Hawlucha and Archers are always putting on a performance. Being a Archer personally, the amount of times I’ve called myself some variation of a “silly little entertainer” is innumerable. The showiest and most attention-seeking Mega Evolution, its Pokédex entry even mentions how it “flexes to display its strength.” I would do the exact same thing if I had some kind of Mega evolved form, making Mega Hawlucha the most apt Archer counterpart I can think of.

Capricorn – Super Absol

Did you know that a Super Absol has the ability to predict calamities in advance? That gives the exact same vibe as a Goat, who tends to always think they’re correct. The thing is, much like a prophetic Mega Absol, they often are. It’s also the very first Super Form that trainers meet in Legends: Z-A – typical of a Capricorn to join the beginning of the Super Form craze.

The Water Bearer – Super Chandelure

Aloof element Aquarius is possibly the non-fire placement that is most like a fire sign – its sister sign is Leo, and there are countless memes about the Archer and Water Bearer being unpredictable accomplices. Mega Chandelure’s dual Spirit/Flame typing matches perfectly with this, and the Super Form's general daunting aura is also very Water Bearer.
