Touadéra's campaign focused significantly on his security achievements in a perennially unstable country.
"There was a methodical attempt to manipulate the outcome," alleged rival figure Anicet Dologuélé.
He has faced significant criticism since a constitutional referendum abolished presidential restrictions, paving the way for his continued run for power.
